The school has the distinction of providing integrated scheme of education in keeping with the New Policy of education. The school is following the curriculum prescribed by the CBSE and is based on the guidelines established by the National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT).

As per CBSE guidelines, our school in Ara is following CBSE curriculum and the grading system as introduces by CBSE in all the classes. CCE scheme is followed which not only includes scholastic areas by also co-scholastic areas of life skills, attitudes and values , sports and games as well as co-curriculur activities. The CCE scheme aims at addressing this in a holistic manner.

Work Experience, Physical & Health Education and Art Education are an essential and integral part of the syllabus.

Admission Procedure

Collection of Prospectus and Admission Form

Parents / Guardians will fill up an Enquiry form which will require some basic information about the Student as well as Parents. The Admission Counselor will provide all the details about the Admission Process. After this the Admission Form and Prospectus can be collected from the school office on any working day between 10.00am to 2.30pm by paying the requisite amount.

Date of Admission Test / Parents Interview will be informed at the same time.

You are requested to come on the Date/ Time given along with the Students, both the Parents prepared for Admission Test / Parents Interview. In case you are unable to attend the Form remains cancelled.

Documentation

The Admission form filled in BLOCK letters will be submitted in person, to the School Office along with the copies of the following documents :(Self Attested )

  • Birth Certificate,
  • Previous Class report Card (Half yearly / Annual) ,
  • Transfer Certificate issued from previous School (Original)
  • Address Proof / ID proof of both the Parent,(Adhar Card),
  • Adhar Card of the Student
  • Four stamp size photographs of students, 1 photograph of each parent
    (one of each pasted on the Admission Form)

The parent/guardian is requested to bring the original money receipts (issued at the time of purchase of prospectus) at the time of submission of Admission Form.

Admission Test and Parents Interview

The Student will appear for the Admission Test, After completing the Test, both Parents will appear for Interview with the Principal. The result of the student will be confirmed on  same day. In case of selection, the Admission should confirmed within the given date.

CLASS NURSERY

An advertisement for admission to Nursery class and schedules for the same are given in the daily newspapers in the month of August/ September. Parents are required to fill the admission forms and submit them to the school by the given date.

CLASS KG TO IX

Parents seeking admission for their ward from Classes KG to IX are required to apply in the months of February/March. Admission in these classes is subject to vacancies in the class for which the admission is sought.

CLASS XI INTERNAL STUDENTS

Provisional Allotment of streams for internal candidates will be based on their performance in the Pre-Board Examination. The students in class XI have the choice of opting for an additional subject.

EXTERNAL STUDENTS

External students can apply for admission after the announcement of the Board results. They shall be accommodated subject to the vacancy available, depending on the grades required for the
Stream.

Guidelines for Students

  • Students shall come to school on time and be neatly dressed in clean school uniforms. All the students are to wear their identity card at all times (i.e. during school hours).
  • No student shall leave the classroom without the student outpass and permission of the teacher.
  • Pupils changing classes must walk silently and in single line.
  • Girl students shall not wear any jewellery, have long nails or apply nail polish / kajal, mehendi when they come to school. Long hair should be neatly tied into a braid / plait and not in a pony tail. Coloured clips, hairbands are not permitted. Boys are not allowed to wear any jewellery, tattoos or have long nails when they come to school. They must have a proper haircut / clean shave at all times.
  • No books, (other than text books or library books) magazines, comics papers, music cassettes, CDs and Pen Drives to be brought to school without the permission of the Principal.
  • In order to acquire a good command of the English language which is the medium of instruction for all subjects, children should speak only in English in the school premises.
  • No monetary collection for any purpose may be made in the school without the prior permission of the Principal.
  • Care must be taken of all school property, and no student shall scratch or spoil the desks or chairs or damage any school furniture, write or draw anything on the walls or in any way damage things belonging to others. Damage done even by accident, shall be reported at once to the school authorities. Any damage done within the school premises must be compensated by the one who does it.
  • The children must be in their respective classroom by 7:55 a.m., five minutes before the first bell which rings at 8:00 a.m. Late comers will not be permitted after 8:00 a.m.
  • Perfect silence must be maintained after the bell at 8:00 a.m.
  • COMING OUT OF CLASSES after the teacher leaves the class and before the arrival of the next teacher is strictly PROHIBITED.
  • Bus-monitors will be responsible for orderly behaviour in the bus. Indisciplined behaviour in the school bus will make the student ineligible to use the school transport.
  • Running and shouting in the school building is not allowed. When using staircases and corridors all must keep to the left. Walking or standing around the office area or the visitors’ lobby should be avoided even during recess.
  • Students are not permitted to buy eatables from vendors outside the school grounds.
  • Birthday parties are not given in the school premises. This creates differences among the children. One small toffee per child is all that may be distributed in class. Students must come in School Uniform even on their birthdays.
  • Students are not allowed to leave the school premises without the permission of the Principal.
  • Cycles must be kept locked in the place provided. No student is permitted to bring a scooter, scooty, motor cycle or car to the school.
  • The school reserves the right to dismiss a student who is irregular in attendance, whose conduct in the school or outside is harmful to other students, or whose guardians show little or no interest in the progress of their wards. Grave insubordination, discourtesy or disrespect to teachers, contempt of authority, willful damage to the property or physical violence will result in dismissal from the school. No student is permitted to use rude, abusive or inappropriate language in the school premises.
  • A student who uses unfair means during assessments, examinations etc. will be given a zero in the subject. Repetition of the same offence shall result in dismissal.
  • All students are to be present on the last working day of school before commencement of Summer Vacation and on the first day when the school re-opens after Summer Vacation. If a student is absent on any of these days a suitable penalty will be imposed at the discretion of the Principal. If a student is absent without leave for a period of six days or above without a valid reason given in writing, his/her name shall be struck off the school rolls. Re-admission will be at the sole discretion of the Principal, subject to the availability of a seat. In such cases, full re-admission charges shall be collected from the student.
  • No student is allowed to bring any colour or to throw colour on any person within the school premises during the festival of Holi. Any child found in possession of colour in the school premises will be liable to disciplinary action. In case a student indulges in throwing colour on any person within the school premises, the parents of the child will be required to pay for new clothes for the person on whom the colour was thrown by the student. Similarly, if colour is thrown on the school property/walls, the repair bills for that would be borne by the parents of the concerned student.
  • No student is allowed to bring any kind of fire crackers to the school. If any child is found in possession of fire crackers in the school premises, appropriate disciplinary action will be taken.
  • For security reasons, students are not permitted to bring mobile phones, cameras, smart watches, calculators or any electronic gadgets to school. In case we come across any of these items they will be confiscated and the parent will be required to come and collect the same from the Principal only after a written assurance has been given that their child / ward will not bring any electronic items to the school.
  • Students are not permitted to avail of short / half day leave for any reason and are not permitted to go home after assignment / assessment / exam.
  • Students must bring with them to school all that they require for the day. For security reasons, no tiffin boxes / water bottles or any other articles will be accepted at the reception for delivery to the students.
  • The new session for Class XI begins in the month of April and attendance is mandatory.
  • Students should not bully any other student. Bullying through physical intimidation or attacks, verbal abuse, unwanted attention and advances, damaging property, spreading malicious rumours, sending unpleasant S.M.S., messages, photographs or E-mails to others etc. is strictly prohibited. If any student is found indulging in any of the above offensive behaviour, strict action will be taken by the school management leading to expulsion or rustication from the school.

Guidelines for Parents

  • Parents are requested to pay attention to their children’s regularity, discipline and neatness and take interest in their children’s work.
  • Parents should see the children’s diary every day and note the home work and any other instructions given. They should ensure that sufficient time is set apart for home study.
  • All notes given by teachers in the school Almanac must be duly acknowledged by the parent/guardian.
  • Meeting with teachers : If, for any reason, you wish to meet the Principal / Vice Principal / Headmistress / Class Teacher or Subject Teachers, you are welcome to do so, however, appointments must be made prior to all such meetings. Parents are not permitted to go to the classes, or roam around in the building as this disturbs the students. The meeting with the concerned person will be at a specified place at a specific time.
  • Circulars, invitations etc. sent through the children should be acknowledged on the relevant form in the diary.
  • Parent Teacher Meetings : These meetings are held on the scheduled dates. Parents must make it a point to attend all such meetings personally. These meetings are held to discuss the performance and progress of the children and will give parents an opportunity to learn about their child’s development and also help the teachers to give their best towards the overall improvement of the child. Tutors are not to be sent to the school for such meetings.
  • The progress reports given out at the end of each term have to be collected by the parents, personally.
